Windbender a 1975, McVay, 24′ Bluenose sloop is an iconic classic daysailer. Well known of the east coast of the USA and Canada as a worthy competitor and “Yare” daysailer. Designed by the noted naval architect W.J. Roue who also designed the racing schooner Bluenose, she is an example of modern craftsmanship and traditional beauty.

Hull & Deck
Moulded fiberglass uni-lam construction the highest industry standards, bonded together to form a singe integral structure.

Keel – 900 lbs. cast iron moulded into the hull unit to insure a consistent under body configuration.

Rudder
Fiberglass with faired trailing edge designed with effective surface low for a minimum of wetted surface and a maximum of effectiveness.

Cabin Interior
Flat deck area provided for sleeping or storage with two berths

Cockpit
Roomy, self bailing cockpit of fiberglass with plain effect cockpit sole. Two large sail lockers under seats. Foam floatation under interior foredeck

Hardware
